Navigating the expansive maps in ARC Raiders often presents players with challenging multi-point objectives. The quest titled A First Foothold acts as a comprehensive tour across the Blue Gate region. Successfully completing this mission requires visiting four distinct corners of the territory to interact with specific structures and terminals.
Understanding the Quest Objectives
The quest tasks players with visiting four distant locations scattered across the Blue Gate map. You will need to stabilize an observation deck near the Ridgeline and enable a comms terminal near the Olive Grove. Additionally, you must rotate satellite dishes on a church roof near the Data Vault and nail down roof plates at Trapper's Glade.
Because these tasks span the entire region, attempting to finish all four in a single run can be risky. Most players find it much safer to split the objectives across multiple raids. Fortunately, quest progress saves immediately after interacting with each objective, meaning extraction is not strictly required.
Finding the Eastern and Southern Locations
The observation deck is positioned along the eastern perimeter near the Ridgeline. Players can reach the deck by heading up the small hill and interacting with the primary control panel. This area is relatively quiet compared to central map locations, making it a good starting point.
To find the comms terminal, head south toward the Olive Grove. The terminal rests on a open platform equipped with a computer desk on the western side of the point of interest. Keep an eye out for patrolling ARC units that frequently cross through this area.
Reaching the Northern and Western Points
The satellite dishes are located at the northern edge of the map, situated atop a ruined church north of the Data Vault. You must climb the exterior scaffolding or nearby crates to reach the rooftop. Once at the peak, simply interact with the dish array to update your progress.
The final task takes place near Trapper's Glade on the western side of Blue Gate. Look for a small wooden Raider structure nestled among dense trees. Climb onto the roof of the building to nail down the loose plates and finalize the objective.
Rewards and Completion Strategy
Completing all four interactions lets you report back to Apollo at Speranza to claim your rewards. You will receive a selection of explosive tools, including Shrapnel Grenades, Snap Blast Grenades, and Heavy Fuze Grenades. These rewards provide helpful firepower for tackling tougher threats on future drops.
A great tactic for completing this quest efficiently is dropping in with a free loadout to reduce gear loss risks.
